Maison Martin Margiela SS07 prototype sandals

once upon a time, in a far away land, there was an ebay auction for the pump prototype that i sadly lost… when i saw them exposed in the Margiela Galliera exhibit i felt at peace, knowing they were in good hands, Martin's hands.
fast forward to yesterday, this came in the mail… as a part of good karma i like to think.
the pencil writing is fading [makes me wonder where they were before i got them for 50dlls… not loved thats for sure] but as a shoe designer and maker i appreciate this early stage of the iconic plexi pvc moment that made my teenage heart skip a beat… cinderella started with rags you know!
