j'aime mon carrré : wrap around it

as i've been exploring the endless possibilities one can do with the help of a square piece of fabric,
handpainted silk to be precise, i learned a couple of ways from older ladies! the sure know their tricks!!!
the shawl.
whenever they go out, they have a scarf in hand, they may not be wearing it on their bodies;
but they carry them in case the air gets crisp or they feel the need to cover their shoulders…
always in sync with their outfits! [older ladies always match everything, and i am one of their team.]

sigo explorando las infinitas posibilidades que un pedazo de tela cuadrado tiene [de seda pintada a mano], aprendi un par de maneras de las señoras! se saben sus trucos…
el shawl.
cuando salen, siempre llevan una mascada, aunque no la usen la llevan en caso de que haga frío
y/o sientan la necesidad de cubrir sus hombros… siempre combinadas con su atuendo
[y obvio soy de su equipo, yo se que a muchas les gusta combinar des-combinadas,
pero me causa problemas que la gama de colores choquen… prefiero que todo vaya en sintonía.]

the obi belt.
when the outfit is quite plain adding a printed belt, brings everything together,
if the carré is bigger [mine is 70x70cm] it can double wrap your waist, and it looks beautiful like that,
[i was hesitant to do it this way, a bit more smart looking…
this would look awesome as a denim shirt and jeans outfit, just to break it and add a touch of color to it]

el cinto obi.
para unir un look simple y básico, el motivo en el carré le dio sentido a todas las piezas,
si es carré es mas grande [el mío es de 70x70cm] puede darle dos vueltas a tu cintura, y se ve mas lindo…
[tenia otra opción, no tan pulida como este look, pero con camisa de mezclilla y jeans…
rompiendo el monocromo, dando un toque de color diferente. son opciones]
