yes, i am a shoeaholic
however, not any shoe makes me go weak at my knees…
i like those that tell a story, those that are killer.
as soon as i landed in NY i had a mission, going to the Brooklyn Museum for this exhibition
[and i confirmed my life plans: having my own shoe collection exhibited one day…]
i loved how the exhibition started; a room with two videos showcasing the shoe processes
on one wall there was the traditional-artisanal way and on the opposite one the UN way
Rem Koolhaas has revolutioned the way shoes are conceived…
the exhibition is well curated, from historic references to contemporary pieces.

si soy una adicta a los zapatos
sin embargo, no todos los zapatos me hacen temblar las rodillas…
me gustan esos que cuentan una historia, esos que tienen ese factor riesgo.
en cuanto pise NY supe que tenia una misión, ir al museo de Brooklyn a ver esta exhibición
[y confirme mi razón de vida: tener mi colección de zapatos en un museo algún día…]
amé como orgánicamente fluía la exhibición; un cuarto con dos videos mostrando el proceso de manufactura
en una pared la manera tradicional-artesanal y en la opuesta la manera de UN
Rem Koolhaas ha revolucionado la manera en que se conciben los zapatos…
es una exhibición bien curada, desde referencias históricas a piezas contemporáneas.

last but not least, the Cinderella crystal shoes by Maison Martin Margiela
if you want to buy it, you only get one piece, because you know
either you are cinderella or the prince charming, or in my case the stepsister that wants it.

por ultimo los zapatos de cristal de Cenicienta por la Maison Martin Margiela
que si quieres comprarlos, solo viene un pie, porque ya saben
o eres Cenicienta o el principe, pero en mi caso soy la hermanastra que lo quiere aunque no le quede.
