Last week i had a lovely appointment with this girl who's working on her thesis project... involving bloggers...
while we discussed the whole blogger 'profession', if we were to call it this way, i came to some conclusions:
first i think and believe we feel a tad bit lonely on our own immediate context and the things we need to say about our thoughts are not appropriate, or so we think so...
when this whole social-media revolution started, everyone started sharing that piece of recruited feelings and thoughts... everyone lost their shells... the world felt closer and new friendships started... distance never seemed so corrupted...
the moment people felt identified with someone who was having a similar life to you, or liked the same things yo do, or u wanted to live like that, that created a bond... a special bond to someone who was as earthy as you, who had nothing to hide and was perfectly just what you needed after this whole mediatic/paparazzi-star-chase, just a girl with a shopping habit who mixed-matched items that made you drool... who showed a bit of her lifestyle and made you feel part of that...
the down side of this perfect romanticism, is that brands and companies are not stupid, they knew exactly that this fenomena was the perfect advertisement for them to showcase to the world their products... and thats when this became a mediaprostitution...
i dont know for sure how i feel about it... but i do think that this has got into a whole new level... bloggers are now celebrities... chased by... streetstylestalkers... who do a fantastic job... and theres a great side about this in the end... at least talents are emerging from scratch with the publics approval...
theres more thoughts about this, but for now this is what i have to share for today...
